Are you worrying on everything? This is my latest teaching. I ask that you forward this to everbody and anybody that needs it. I have been so blessed by these teachings and God has really worked through them. So I ask you to continue sending these to friends and I love to hear how God worked in you through a message. God Bless All right, so as I sat here I really felt called to write about what is going on with me. In the lessons that I decide to teach, most of the time, it is ways that God is revealing him self to me in things I am dealing with. I have had two other teachings that I have been waiting to use but I feel as if this is the one to be written tonight. Okay, so if you don’t know me, God has blessed me with the ability not to worry and not to dwell on things. I think I can say that that is probably my second favorite gift outside of teaching. It says in the Matthew: Matthew 6:25-27 and 33-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”…” But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” This verse has been one that I have been looking at lately. I have been worried about what I was going to do and I just spent hours thinking on what I should do. That is when this verse kicked in. I have come to realize that there is no need to worry. Me sitting in a deer stand and trying to plan everything out or trying to figure out how I am going to get out of this mess is not going to change anything. Throughout my life, this is a verse that I have lived by. I try to focus on today and not on the past nor the future and that is what God calls us to do. I have been in those situations where I dwell on one thing so long that I make myself sick. We all have been there. A great example was my friend. He had a 3-person apartment and his two roommates had dropped out and he was a month away from school where he would have to pay for all three rents. I asked him how he was taking it and he said that he wishes he had one but he remains faithful that God will help him. That God would deliver him two roommates or a way out. That is what we as Christians need to be able to do. We need to just be able to put the past in the past and leave the future to God and just live in the now. So many times we worry on how we are going to deal with something in the future when all we need to do is just leave that to Christ. We worry “how we will make it”? God takes care of the animals in the world, so don’t you think he is going to take care of you? My thing is that what do you accomplish by worrying? Besides making you sick, it does nothing. Worrying can not change a second of your life. Life is like trying to draw a masterpiece with a pencil without an eraser. I believe that what has happened is done with. We can only learn from it. We can not go back and change it. We have to deal with our mistakes and handle the situation differently next time. As for the future, I believe that we do not need to focus on it. I have 6 months or so till I am off on my own and I believe that I should focus on preparing myself for the real world but I am not going to sit around and worry how I am going to be able to handle things. Me worrying gets me nowhere. So if we are not to worry on the past nor the future what are we to worry about?... That’s easy, worry about today! Focus on what you are doing now, on how you are going to glorify Christ today. When you take your focus off worrying on the past and the present and just let God take control you end up where He wants you. When you don’t worry on what is going to happen and just leave it to God everything is simple. Let God be your driver, you just hang on for the ride. So I finish with this: Do not focus on where you have fallen. Do not focus on what your future holds. Focus on today! I know that times are tough now and I know you are struggling through things that you are not sure that you can get out of. Whatever your situation is, it is a test. God wants you to realize that you don’t need to worry. Just trust Him and he will get you out of whatever “hole” you are in. No matter how deep it is. Sometimes it is tough but God is right beside you just waiting for his child to ask him to take the wheel. So I ask you this: Are you worrying on everything? Are you dwelling on things that don’t need to be? If so, I hope that you can do what I have had to do this week and that is to let go of the reigns and ask for God to come in and take over and He will free you from whatever you are struggling with. |
