God Provides

What I am talking about today is trusting in the Lord to provide. Sometimes we don't trust in Christ to provide an answer or we can't be patient enough to wait. The main reason I want to talk about this subject is because God has provided me with so much! Whenever we are placed between a rock and a tough place, a lot of times we seem to maybe pray a little bit to God but when we don't get our answer immediately we just feel like God is not going to provide an answer. I know that is how I feel many times, but I am here to tell you that God absolutely provides. Lately, I have been asking God several questions. I have had a few situations that I wanted an answer to and I prayed for them every night for 4 months. And every night I never saw an answer from Him. So naturally I got to where I was asking God, "Where is my answer? I am praying over and over for it! Where is it?" Well, finally, God gave me His answer and on His own time. When I was driving home, I was questioning whether or not I should continue to pursue the certain things that I had been praying for. So, I am 2 hours into the trip and my I-pod is on party shuffle and playing a song. Well, as soon as I said, "I don't think I should continue pursuing this… God give me an ans…" Before I could finish the sentence, the song ended and a new one came on that gave me my answer. I was struggling pursuing this certain thing because of how difficult it was and one of the lines in the song that God revealed to me said, "Sometimes the hardest and the right thing are the same." Now, that might not impress you but understand this, I had never heard this song and did not even know it was on my I-pod, O and this is where it is amazing, in that I-pod party shuffle (For those who don't know, that is where every song on your I-pod could play) there were over 2,500 songs that this one just happened to come out of. If that is not a sign, I don't know what is. God Provided So, my second sign. I had been praying for three weeks for an answer on whether or not to pursue a different thing. Well I had been praying so hard, on my face every night begging and pleading God for an answer. And yet again, my impatient self just could not wait for an answer and just said, "God you have to give me this answer NOW!" Well, after three weeks of praying, I knew that my best friend was calling that night, and when I went to Church that morning, I told God that if she tells me this certain thing than that will be my sign to not pursue this thing. Well, she calls and she tells me exactly what I told God for her to say and then some. That was my sign. God provided So, the main thing that I want you to get from my latest experiences is that when you earnestly seek an answer from God that he will provide. Something that we all forget is that we don't know everything. Whenever we pray for an answer, we believe we should get an answer immediately, when God knows the best time for everything. It is funny how a lot of the times we don't believe that the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, the beginning and the end, the God who made you, knows better than us. So for those who are having trouble with waiting for an answer (me), just wait! It is possibly the toughest thing in the world to do but God will provide! God will give you HIS answer on HIS time when it is BEST! Now you might ask, as long as He gives me the answer than what does it matter the timing. This is why: Whenever you wait, that makes the answer so much greater! When I received my answer for the second example, I wanted the complete opposite answer, I wanted a yes and I got a no, but when God gave me his answer, it revealed something else that was far greater! Had I gotten my answer when I wanted it than I would not have been revealed to what He wanted me to see. Another example, I searched for 7 years for what God wanted me to do with the rest of my life and when He finally told me, it was much better than I could have ever expected and His timing was much greater than had He done it on my timing. I asked if I was supposed to go into ministry for 7 YEARS! And I never got an answer, but God finally gave it to me and I was older and more mature to handle what He was asking me. I was closer to Him and I firmly believe that had He given me the answer when I wanted it, than I would not have continued to want to be a youth minister. So what I finish up with is this. Everyone is going to go through tough times and uncertainties. You might be going through a confusing time as you read this. Do not try to handle it on your own. Go to you Lord and Savior! Cry out to Him. Pray for an answer, for a way to get out. If you don't get your answer immediately than try again, and again! God will give you His answer on His time! He will give you an answer that will help you! You might not get the answer you want, nor at the time you want, but you will get His answer and at the end of the day, that is the best answer! So, cry out to God! Ask him for advice. Ask him where to go! And I promise you, just like He has done in my life, HE WILL PROVIDE!!!
